There are only two kinds of people in this world: the wine and the beer drinkers. Of course, there are those that drink both, but eve they have their preference and their favorite drink at the end of a day. Besides a little bit snobbish attitude toward wine that wine drinkers have, they usually point out that the wine is great for you, while the beer only makes that awful belly grow. However, they will have nothing on you when you read all the facts why beer also has many health benefits and why it is actually recommended for consumption. Here are the benefits from your head to toes.

• Beer can help you sleep, it can boost your memory and it can help you with any issues that you may have that are stress related. Studies have shown that they beer drinkers are less likely to suffer from the Alzheimer’s disease and the Researchers at the University of Montreal have discovered that a glass of beer a day will help you with the work related stress. These benefits are not only there to make you feel better, but they then prevent all the secondary issues that you may have which come as a consequences of these things.

• Since there is a lot of silicone in beer, the study conducted by the Tufts University shows that it makes bones a lot stronger if you treat yourself with a glass or two a day. This was shown on men who did it and their bone density was three to four times bigger than of those who don’t drink beer.

• All the important internal organs love their beer, starting with heart, stomach and kidneys. In 2008, Journal of the American Dietetic Association published an article that stated that two glasses of beer a day reduce heart diseases. The thing is, beer reduces the levels of bad cholesterol and increases the good cholesterol in your blood. In simpler words, it makes your blood less ‘sticky’ so it doesn’t clot as much. A Finnish study found that it can even decrease forming of kidney stones by 40%

• As far as the nutritive values go, we all know that beer is a great and delicious source of vitamins B. It is rich with vitamins B6 and B12. B12 is especially important in this story because it is not that easily found in food. Also, surprisingly for some people, beer is great source of fiber that is essential to the healthy diet. Beer is made from barley and therefore, it is rich in fiber that has so many benefits for your health. Of course, light beer will have it less than dark beer, and your best option will definitely be some sort of home made organic beer because that will definitely be packed with B vitamins and fiber.

With all this in mind, you can see that incorporating beer into your daily diet may just be a very good thing to do. However, this should by no means, serve as an excuse to use excessive amounts of beer. While the benefits are obvious coming from one or two glasses a day, everything above it has just the opposite effects. Beer influences bones, kidneys, brain and blood vessels. It can influence them in a good way or in a bad way. The amount of the beer taken is the factor that decides which type of influence it will be, so pay attention. Also, one glass will make you healthy, but more will make your belly grow.
